This is a poem I wrote on August 16, 2010. The speaker is lamenting about overly warm weather, but they know that the seasons will be changing sooner rather than later.
I like it warm, but it's just too hot
Colder weather I'm wanting a lot
But I don't want the clouds, I want the sun
I want it just right to have some fun
But in a few months I will lament
And I'll wonder where all the warmth went
Just wait a few months, and the truth be told
I'll be complaining about the cold
