This is a poem I wrote on February 16, 2009, and it's from the point of view of a woman looking back at her past and realizing how much she has changed.
I look at the girl in the picture
And she's supposed to be me
From an earlier point in my life
I look at her, and I can hardly recognize
The girl looking back at me
It seems that time has changed
The girl that I used to be
And the woman that I am today
Is only a shadow of who I used to be
