This is a poem I wrote on September 21, 2009, and it's from the point of view of a speaker who is feeling rather worn out and tired from their hectic life.
It's such a crazy life I lead
Livin' la vida loca
A good rest is what I really need
But that's hard to come by, indeed
I just need my life to slow down
At least for a brief moment
But the pause I need just can't be found
Guess I'll be run into the ground
