This is a poem I wrote on September 14, 2009, and it's from the point of view of a friend seeing an old friend return after a long absence.
It seems like it's been a while
Since you were last here
It's amazing what still stands
And all that has disappeared
You see this place with different eyes
After all you've roamed
Hope this time you're here to stay
I'm glad you're here... welcome home
