This is a poem I wrote on August 2, 2010, and it's about trying to remain optimistic, even when life seems to be at its worst.
Even though today may seem filled with sorrow
I keep trying to look ahead to a better tomorrow
I'm trying not to let negatives hold me back
I'm trying to look for the joy that I lack
So what I must do now is hold on to hope
And until better days come, I need to find some way to cope
I need to keep my optimism at high
Try hard to be positive and not to sigh
