This is a poem I wrote on November 1, 2010, and it's from the point of view of a speaker who wonders why a relationship has changed.
I just can't understand
Why there was a sudden change of plans
Now my life's been turned upside down
And peace of mind cannot be found
I just can't comprehend
Why everything has come to an end
And I find myself pretending
That my broken heart is mending
