This is a poem I wrote in 1995, and it's about missing someone that you care for.
You've left me for a short time now
And I find myself wondering how
I will be able to survive
Right now, I just don't feel alive
Every minute I'm missing you
I'm constantly thinking about you
And sometimes I spend a while
Just wishing to see your smile
I hold on to a memory
Until the day you come back to me
Right now, that seems like a long time
All I do is break down and cry
You'll be back in three weeks
But that's three weeks too long...
I miss you
