This is a poem I wrote on August 17, 2009, and it's about heading in a new direction in life and feeling confident about where that direction is leading.
I'm sailing off to new horizons
Heading toward new beginnings
I'm finding the promise of a new day
With each and every step of my way
I'm saying goodbye to what has been
As I head toward the future
Right now, the future seems to be so bright
And I think the path I'm on is right
