This is a poem I wrote on April 7, 2011, and it's from the point of view of a speaker who is going through a tough time and hopes that their situation will get better.
It's times like these I want to cry
Or, if not that, at least to sigh
Nothing seems to be going right
And there's just no end in sight
I want to believe things will change
But it can be so hard some days
And I just need to remember
That this won't last forever
