This is a poem I wrote on May 31, 2010. It's a poem that was inspired by a spate of celebrity deaths in the news at the time that I wrote it.
It was a dark and dreary day in May
When I heard the news man say
That another celebrity passed away
What is going on in the world today?
It's times like these that I have to wonder
And I take time to ponder
Why is everyone ending up six feet under?
In the end, all I can do is wonder
