This is a poem I wrote on December 27, 2010. It's a poem where the speaker is reminding themselves that life isn't always bad, and that things will get better.
Step by step, the days start to get longer
Although there still seems to be a lot of darkness
I just have to hang in there
And realize that things will get better
And things aren't always as bad as they seem
I just have to keep on going and believing
The gloom won't last forever
And before I know it, spring will be here
