This is a poem I wrote back in the 1990s, and it's about a person with a dream.
You have a dream
You're the only one who knows what it means
Only you know how it should be
And you just want to see truth come for this dream
So hard you've tried
Expectations seem to lag behind
True perfection's so hard to find
Because it only exists within your mind
It's for the best
Just to make sure it's different from the rest
And to make sure that it's the best
So you can make sure the dream passes the test
