This is a poem I wrote in the mid-1990s, and it's about knowing that you're truly in love.
I thought I knew what love was
And every time, I was proven wrong
But now that you've come into my life
I know that this time it's love
With you, I'm as free as a dove
And I don't have to wear a disguise
You let me be who I really am
With you, I know that it's love
