This is a poem I wrote on May 24, 2011. It's from the point of view of a speaker who is trying to help someone else by giving some advice and hoping the other person doesn't mind getting the advice.
I gave some advice, and I hope you don't mind
Because I was hoping I was being kind
So I just hope that you understand
That I want to help out any way I can
You have so much potential that it just seems
That I'd like to help you realize your dreams
If you're willing to put in the time
There's the chance everything will turn out just fine
