This is a poem I wrote in the early 1990s. It's about someone leaving the speaker's life once again.
You turned around and walked out the door
Just like you have in the past
This is just like the first time
And it probably won't be the last
This time, it's just the same as before
You go and don't say goodbye
And there's no explanation
And all I can do is wonder why
