This is a poem I wrote on May 17, 2010. I wrote it after having to deal with my whiny pre-teen daughter one too many times.
Once again, I am hearing you whine
It's the exact same lines every time
You never seem to come up with anything new
And I just keep telling you there's nothing I can do
You know I don't have a heart of stone
But I'm asking you to leave me alone
And you know that no matter what it is you say
That I'm not going to cave in and give you your way
