This is a poem I wrote on June 14, 2010. It's from the point of view of a parent at the end of a school year.
Winding down another year
It's hard to believe the end is here
And you'll be home all summer long
Please, let me remain strong
But the time will go by fast
And I'll wonder why it didn't last
It won't be long till fall is here
And you'll start a new year
