Summer

This is a poem I wrote on July 20, 2009. It's a poem I wrote as an ode to summer. Admittedly, this isn't one of my better poems, but I'm still willing to share it anyway.


The days are long
And the summer has come
It's time to have fun
In the hot, hot sun


Try to stay cool
Go and swim in the pool
Now it's time to play
Have fun every day


But it's soon gone
And then the fall will come
Then it's back to school
To follow the rules
