This is a poem I wrote on June 13, 2011. It's a poem from the point of view of a speaker who is in disbelief that it's the month of June, due to unseasonably cold and dark weather. And yes, this is a poem written from my point of view.
The sun is playing peek-a-boo today
How I wish it would decide to stay
I'm tired of the dark and the gloom
Could this really be the month of June?
I think this weather is such a bummer
I wish it was already summer
I want to feel all the sunshine
And to have fun and to have a good time
