This is a poem I wrote on July 26, 2010, and it's from the point of view of someone who is really in need of getting away for a vacation.
I've got a vacation that's long overdue
And I know I'm really in need of it, too
I just need a chance to get away
From all the stress and have some time to play
I can't believe how much work there's been lately
It's nearly driven me to insanity
But I know a break will soon be here
I can't wait for the good times to be near
