This is a poem I wrote back in 1995. It's a poem to reassure someone that you will always be there for them.
I'm here for you with an ear to lend
At times when you need a friend
I'm here to help you through the strife
When everything seems wrong in your life
I'm here for you when you're feeling down
To make a smile from a frown
I'm here for you when nothing's right
Help you see things in a different light
I'm here for you with a helping hand
And to help you understand
I'll be here for you when you call
I'll always be there to catch your fall
And through the years, never forget -
I'll always be here for you
