This Is Now

This is a poem I wrote on March 24, 2009, and the speaker is trying to convince someone to stop living in the past and face the present.


Lately you seem to be
Living in your mind
Reliving what was
And dreaming
Of what could be
But you need to
Return to the real world
And face up
To the reality of your present
Because that was then
And this is now
