This is a poem I wrote on May 24, 2011, and it's from the point of view of a speaker who is eagerly waiting for something, and wants the time to fly on by.
Sometimes it can be hard to wait
Especially for something that you anticipate
You wish that the time would just fly
And that the waiting would just pass on by
You might feel you're on the brink
Remember, waiting doesn't last as long as you think
Just take a deep breath and calm down
Someday, your peace is going to be found
