This is a poem I wrote on July 19, 2010, and it's from the point of view of someone trying to get over hurtful events from their past.
I'm trying hard not to turn back the hands of time
And to not relive past events in my mind
But I'm remembering things I want to forget
So I know I haven't gotten over this yet
They keep trying to tell me that time will heal
And I'll get over the pain that I feel
However, I know what they're saying isn't right
Because I know I'll relive it again tonight
