Another Year Goes By

This is a poem I wrote on March 15, 2009. It's a poem about going through strife and sadness over the course of a year.


Another year goes by
Another round of tears to cry
Life goes in cycles, round and round
Feel like I've been run into the ground


Another year goes by
Have to say a lot of goodbyes
Will there be any more farewells?
Well, I guess only time will tell


And year goes by
With a lot of new things to try
When it seems to come to an end
I pick myself up and start again
