Winter Is Here

This is a poem I wrote on December 15, 2008. It's a poem about the arrival of winter, and I was obviously inspired to write this by the time of year. It's another poem I wrote that talks about the seasons. Seasons and weather seem to be topics that I can easily be inspired to write about.


The world is blanketed in white
As flakes fall from the sky
And the air outside is frigid
You can see your breath as you talk
The wind howls with a deafening roar
That signals that winter has arrived
