This is a poem I wrote on January 3, 2011. I wrote it when my kids' winter break ended that year. Don't get me wrong, I love my children, but the chaos that a break from school can bring can get a little crazy at times.
It's time to get back into the groove
Because break time is over
Hopefully the transition will be smooth
Because I don't want it to falter
And that break seemed to go by so fast
The time just flew right on by
And I would have sworn that this break would last
But I'm glad to return to normal
