I'm The One

I originally wrote this as lyrics back in the early 1990s. When I re-read those lyrics a few years back, I wasn't happy with how it turned out. I took the title to write a poem, and I took the theme in a different direction than it had originally been in. I wrote this poem on June 1, 2009. It's from the point of view of a parent, and it talks about the devotion they have for their child.
