This started out as lyrics I wrote in the early 1990s. When I re-read this a few years back, I decided to re-work it into a poem by taking out the chorus. I re-worked this piece on June 15, 2009, and it's a poem about losing yourself in your dreams.
When it seems
That I'm a million miles away
It just means that I'm lost in my dreams
You can see
If you dare to look into my eyes
That I'm lost inside a fantasy
You and me
It's just the two of us, all alone
Every night, when I'm lost in my dreams
With my might
I make sure nothing stands in the way
Of being lost in my dreams tonight
