Another Love Gone Wrong

This is a poem I wrote on November 19, 2008. It's from the point of view of a speaker who is going through another love that's gone wrong.


When we first met
I thought I was in a dream
There was no way you could be real
Or that our love was actually true


Everyone said
That I should stay on my toes
And that something about you seemed false
But I didn't want to believe


I came to doubt
When rumors started to fly
And when those rumors proved to be true
I decided to say goodbye


Now I'm happy
I'm moving on with my life
And someday I'll fall in love again
And move on from another love gone wrong
