This is a poem I wrote on March 14, 2011. It's about going through a life-changing event and struggling to believe that things will get better.
Disaster seems to come from nowhere
And washes away your hopes and dreams
All you can do is stand and stare
Wishing that things weren't as they seem
In time, you'll be able to rebuild
But that time just seems to far away
Right now, it seems your dreams are killed
It's hard to face another day
